MINDFUL MOVEMENT with KEMOY

A three part workshop series to intentionally nurture the connection between mind and body. Thursdays, 25.05., 01.06. & 08.06.2023, 7 pm – 8:30 pm.

In this 3 part series we will take time to intentionally nurture the connection between mind and body. We will learn to connect our movement with the breath, how to be in better tune with what the body is trying to communicate to us and different ways to care for our minds and body.

Life can be fast paced and we do not often take the time to slow down and be with ourselves mindfully; this series gives us the opportunity to do so while sharing space and building community with others.. I hope that you will join me on the mat for this exploration of the mind and body connection.

This is meant to be a safer space for Black, Queer, Fat and Disabled people. The space is also SW-er friendly. It is important for us to create a safer space where people feel included and accepted. If there are any accommodations you may need in order to make this practice more accessible to you, please let us know. Feel free to get in touch with us if you have any questions or concerns and I will do my best to address them.

For this practice you will only need comfy clothes and a mat in order to participate. No previous knowledge of yoga is necessary.

Please register via Eventbrite here!

About Kemoy

Kemoy, she/they, is a Black, Queer, able bodied Therapist and Yoga guide. They have been practicing yoga for the last seven years as a personal practice and completed their training in vinyasa and prenatal yoga in 2020. Their aim as a yoga guide is to create inviting and accessible safer spaces so that people feel encouraged and supported in stepping into a practice that may be new to them. Yoga is more than just a physical practice and, although this is the most known part of yoga and what brings us together, my hope is to share with others the way that all aspects of yoga can lead us to a better overall sense of mental health and well being. My practice is also based on my knowledge of psychology and i aim to provide trauma informed spaces for all who are interested.

We look forward to seeing you.
Yours EOTO x CommUnity
