Afrolution '22 Programm online!
Vom 23.-26. Juni 2022 findet die nächste Edition des Afrolution Festivals unter dem Titel »Planetary [Vulner]Abilities. African//-Diasporic Worldmaking« statt. Wir freuen uns sehr, unsere 40 Festivalgäste aus Afrika und seinen globalen Diasporas in Berlin zu begrüßen. Die deutsche Programmversion findet sich hier zum Download.
From June 23-26, 2022, the next edition of the Afrolution Festival will take place under the title »Planetary [Vulner]Abilities. African//-Diasporic Worldmaking«. We are very much looking forward to together with you welcome our 40 festival guests from Africa and its global diasporas in Berlin. The English version of the program can be downloaded here.
Die 2022er Edition des Afrolution Festivals findet vom 23. bis 26. Juni 2022 in Berlin statt und trägt den Titel »PLANETARY [VULNER]ABILITIES. African-Diasporic Worldmaking«.
Das Programm, wird unter anderen in den Räumen von Each One Teach One e.V in der Togostraße 76 stattfinden.
Das Festival ermöglicht einen transnationalen und intersektionalen Polylog zwischen Wissenschaftlerinnen/Künstlerinnen/Aktivist*innen aus Afrika und seinen Diasporas. Der Fokus liegt a) auf den Herausforderungen und Verwundbarkeiten, mit denen sich Bevölkerungen afrikanischer Abstammung weltweit konfrontiert sehen – historisch und aktuell – sowie b) auf ihren Strategien der Resilienz, De-Vulnerabilisierung und Transformation in kultureller Produktion, politischem und philosophischem Denken und zivilgesellschaftlichem Engagement.

The 2022 edition of the Afrolution Festival will take place June 23-26, 2022 in Berlin and is entitled "PLANETARY [VULNER]ABILITIES. African-Diasporic Worldmaking."
The program will take place in the spaces of Each One Teach One e.V. in Togostraße 76, and other locations.
The festival will enable transnational and intersectional conversations between scholars/artists/activists from Africa and its diasporas, with a focus on:
a) the challenges and vulnerabilities faced by people of African descent worldwide – historically and contemporarily – and b) strategies of resilience, de-vulnerabilization, and transformation in cultural production, political and philosophical thought, and civic engagement.
