Kader Attia’s oeuvre revolves around the conceptual and material practice of repair, and how the act of mending—always incomplete—reveals as much as it conceals. Repair is a process occurring in nature—wounded bodies can heal—as much as in culture, from history to architecture to everyday life. Attia’s work draws from psychoanalysis, philosophy, anthropology, and art history to propose that every cultural tradition, social institution, and built environment is in an infinite process of rupturing and mending. Working in mediums spanning sculpture, installation, photography, and video as well as research and social practice, Attia examines how societies process trauma, suppression, and loss. Growing up in the suburbs of Paris and Algeria, and having spent several years in Congo and South America, Attia’s practice moves fluidly between cultural systems and historical registers, tracing the ongoing psychic and physical consequences of colonialism on the social and the natural world.

Born in Dugny, France in 1970, Attia currently lives and works between Berlin and Paris. He is a professor of time-based media at the Hochschule für bildende Künste« (Fiction Certification). In 2023, he curated the film programme »Borders in the Middle. Migration and its Perspectives in German Film« together with Biene Pilavci on behalf of Filmhaus Nürnberg. He is currently a member of the selection committee for the Pan-African Film Festival (FESPACO) in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

Kader Attias Werk dreht sich um die konzeptuelle und materielle Praxis des Reparierens und darum, wie der Akt des Ausbesserns – der stets unvollständig bleibt – ebenso viel offenbart, wie er verbirgt. Reparieren ist ein Prozess, der sowohl in der Natur stattfindet – verwundete Körper können heilen – als auch in der Kultur, von der Geschichte über die Architektur bis hin zum Alltag. Attias Arbeit stützt sich auf Psychoanalyse, Philosophie, Anthropologie und Kunstgeschichte und vertritt die These, dass jede kulturelle Tradition, jede soziale Institution und jede gebaute Umwelt sich in einem unendlichen Prozess des Zerbrechens und Wiederherstellens befindet. Mit Medien wie Skulptur, Installation, Fotografie und Video sowie Forschung und sozialer Praxis untersucht Attia, wie Gesellschaften Trauma, Unterdrückung und Verlust verarbeiten. Maisha M. Auma was Professor of Childhood and Diversity Studies at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences from 2008 to 2022. Visiting professorships (2014–2025) in Gender Studies; at the Centre for Transdisciplinary Gender Studies at Humboldt University of Berlin, at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Women’s and Gender Studies at TU Berlin, and at the University Centre for Women’s and Gender Studies (UZFG), Alpen-Adria University Klagenfurt. She was the first DiGENet visiting professor, Audre Lorde Chair for Intersectional Diversity Studies, Diversity and Gender Equality Network of the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) 2021–2022. She currently heads the OST regional network of the Knowledge Network for Racism Research, WinRa (BMBF), also at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences. She is an Executive Board Officer of the Association for the Study of the Worldwide African Diaspora, ASWAD. Since 1993, she has been active in the Black feminist self-organisation Generation Adefra, Black Women* in Germany.

Mohamed Amer Meziane holds a PhD in Philosophy and Intellectual History from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. After teaching at Columbia University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institutes for Religion, Culture and Public Life and African Studies, he joined Brown University. He is the author of The States of the Earth which examines how the disenchantment of empires led to the Anthropocene during the 19th century. The book won the Albertine Prize for non-fiction in 2023, was published in English in April 2024 by Verso Books. His second book was published in French in 2023. It is titled: Au bord des mondes. Vers une anthropologie métaphysique (Alongside Worlds: Towards a Metaphysical Anthropology) which is under translation in English and Italian. The book is a philosophical engagement with some conceptual assumptions of »the ontological turn«, with a focus on French anthropological structuralism. The book provoked an ongoing conversation between anthropology and philosophy. In 2024, he was a recipient of the Salomon Faculty Research Award to pursue historical and philosophical work on the metaphysics of amir 'Abd al-Qadir al-Jazaïri. He is currently working on a new book manuscript titled The Sacrifice of Heaven (Le sacrifice du ciel, Paris, Le Seuil, 2026). At Brown University, Mohamed Amer Meziane teaches seminars on Global Critical Theory by connecting both Western and non-Western canons. His seminars focus on Hegelianism and Marxisms, Continental Philosophy, Afro-Arab Contemporary Theory and Literature with a focus on the Francophone canon in the Maghreb and the Caribbean.

Mohamed Amer Meziane promovierte in Philosophie und Geistesgeschichte an der Universität Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Das Buch wurde 2023 mit dem Albertine-Preis für Sachbücher ausgezeichnet und erschien im April 2024 in englischer Sprache bei Verso Books. Sein zweites Buch wurde 2023 auf Französisch veröffentlicht. Es trägt den Titel: Au bord des mondes. Vers une anthropologie métaphysique (An den Rändern der Welten: Auf dem Weg zu einer metaphysischen Anthropologie) und wird derzeit ins Englische und Italienische übersetzt. Nawal Ibtissam Benali is a French-Tunisian journalist and podcaster. Born in Tunis and raised in a family deeply engaged with the arts, history, and culture, she developed an insatiable curiosity for anything that speaks to her about others and their worlds. During her teenage years, she discovered sociology and began to question her surroundings with a more politicized perspective, which led her to pursue studies in journalism. After launching her first blog focused on hip-hop culture and Make it mooove in 2018, and continuing her career as a society journalist with tech-focused media outlets such as 01Net Magazine and CNet France, Nawal eventually shifted toward exploring a theme that had always driven her. This led her, in 2021, to launch the podcast project Y’a ça chez nous?, aimed at deconstructing anti-Black racism in North Africa and within the French diaspora. She now works primarily on issues related to race and North African identity.

Nawal Ibtissam Benali ist eine französisch-tunesische Journalistin und Podcasterin. Geboren in Tunis und aufgewachsen in einer Familie, die sich intensiv mit Kunst, Geschichte und Kultur beschäftigte, entwickelte sie eine unstillbare Neugier auf alles, was ihr etwas über andere Menschen und deren Lebenswelten vermittelt. Als Teenager entdeckte sie die Soziologie und begann, ihre Umgebung aus einer stärker politisierten Perspektive zu hinterfragen, was sie dazu veranlasste, Journalismus zu studieren. Nachdem sie 2018 ihren ersten Blog mit Schwerpunkt auf Hip-Hop-Kultur »Make it mooove« gestartet und ihre Karriere als Gesellschaftsjournalistin bei technologieorientierten Medien wie dem 01Net Magazine und CNet France fortgesetzt hatte, wandte sich Nawal schließlich einem Thema zu, das sie schon immer beschäftigt hatte. Dies veranlasste sie 2021 dazu, das Podcast-Projekt Y’a ça chez nous? (dt: Gibt's das bei uns?) zu starten, das darauf abzielt, Anti-Schwarzen Rassismus in Nordafrika und innerhalb der französischen Diaspora zu dekonstruieren. Heute beschäftigt sie sich vor allem mit Themen rund um Rasse und nordafrikanische Identität.

Novelist, playwright, cultural activist and prize-winning filmmaker Tsitsi Dangarembga studied psychology at the University of Zimbabwe. She obtained her MA in Directing at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin. She is known for her trilogy of novels set in her home country, comprising of Nervous Conditions (1988), The Book of Not (2006), and the 2020 Booker Prize nominated The Book of Not(2018), as well as for her collection of essays Black and Female (2022). Selected literary awards includes English Pen’s Pinter Prize (2021), The German Peace Prize (2021), Yale University’s Windham Campbell Prize (2022) and the Pen Catalan Free Voice Award (2023).

Amongst other prestigious residencies, Dangarembga is a former fellow of the Rockefeller Bellagio Centre (2016) and the Radcliffe Institute, Harvard University (2022-23). She was the 2021-22 International Chair in Creative Writing (Africa) at the University of East Anglia, organising literary training and production events in five African countries, with an output of three publications. She has taught and spoken at leading African, European and American universities.

Tsitsi Dangarembga is the patroness of the 2024-2027 Afrolution series.

Zu den ausgewählten Literaturpreisen gehören der englische Pen's Pinter Prize (2021), der Deutsche Friedenspreis (2021), der Windham Campbell Prize der Yale University (2022) und der Pen Catalan Free Voice Award (2023).

Adji Dieye (b. 1991, Milan) is a visual artist living and working between Milan and Dakar. Her practice interrogates notions of representation and identity in relation to the socio-political structures shaping the contemporary globalized world. Through photography, moving image, installation, and archival research, she examines how images, cultural narratives, architecture, and institutional archives participate in the construction of historical memory and collective identity. Photography remains central to her work, both as a medium and as a critical tool through which to question representational knowledge, processes of othering, and the production of visibility across Western and non-Western societies. Her research often moves through advertising, architecture, national archives, and post-colonial visual culture, focusing on the aesthetic forms through which ideas of self-determination, belonging, and historical truth are mediated.

Dieye holds a BA in New Technologies of Art from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, Milan, and an MFA from Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). In 2025 she was Adjunct Associate Research Scholar at the Italian Academy for Advanced Studies, Columbia University, New York. Adji Dieye (geb. 1991 in Mailand) ist eine bildende Künstlerin, die zwischen Mailand und Dakar lebt und arbeitet. In ihrer künstlerischen Praxis hinterfragt sie Vorstellungen von Repräsentation und Identität im Zusammenhang mit den soziopolitischen Strukturen, die die heutige globalisierte Welt prägen. Anhand von Fotografie, Bewegtbild, Installation und Archivforschung untersucht sie, wie Bilder, kulturelle Narrative, Architektur und institutionelle Archive an der Konstruktion des historischen Gedächtnisses und der kollektiven Identität mitwirken. Die Fotografie bleibt ein zentraler Bestandteil ihrer Arbeit, sowohl als Medium als auch als kritisches Werkzeug, um repräsentatives Wissen, Prozesse des Othering und die Erzeugung von Sichtbarkeit in westlichen und nicht-westlichen Gesellschaften zu hinterfragen. Ihre Forschung bewegt sich häufig zwischen Werbung, Architektur, nationalen Archiven und postkolonialer visueller Kultur und konzentriert sich auf die ästhetischen Formen, durch die Vorstellungen von Selbstbestimmung, Zugehörigkeit und historischer Wahrheit vermittelt werden. Ibou Diop lives in Berlin. He studied literature in Paris and Berlin and completed his PhD on issues of globalisation and universalisation. He curates discourse programmes and exhibitions of contemporary art in Senegal and Germany. His practice has a strong focus on participatory formats that bring together art, thought and civil society to collectively occupy and shape spaces. Since 2022, he has been working closely with civil society initiatives on concepts and venues for commemorating Berlin’s colonial past. Co-curated by Max Czollek and Ibou Diop, the festival “heimaten” launched at the HKW in autumn 2024, a multi-year programme dedicated to reinterpreting the concept of home. Ibou Diop currently heads the Colonialism Remembrance Office at the Stadtmuseum Berlin.

Elvira Dyangbani Ose is the artistic director of the 2nd Public Art Abu Dhabi Biennial 2026–2027. Previously, the Spanish curator served as director of MACBA (Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona) from 2021 to 2026, and before that as director and chief curator of The Showroom in London. Among other things, she curated the 8th Gothenburg International Biennial for Contemporary Art, served as senior curator at Creative Time, and was curator of international art at Tate Modern. In 2026, she was a member of the international jury for the 61st Venice Biennale, which collectively resigned in April 2026.

Ainehi Edoro-Glines is a Nigerian literary scholar who studies African literature and digital culture. She is a Mellon MorgridgeAssistant Professor of English and African Cultural Studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her research explores how stories, in novels and on social media, present new ways of thinking about the art, politics, and philosophy of worldmaking. Her book Forest Imaginaries: How African Novels Think is forthcoming from Columbia University Press. She is the founder and editor of Brittle Paper, a leading platform for African literary culture. Her writing and commentary have appeared in top academic literary journals like PMLA and ELH, as well as in The Guardian, BBC World News, and Africa is a Country. She is an OkayAfrica 100 Women honoree and was named one of New African Magazine’s Most Influential Africans of the Year.

Amara Enyia JD, PhD is a strategist working at the local, national and international level in the realm of public policy, advocacy and organizing. She serves as Co-Executive Director for the Movement for Black Lives, as Senior Fellow and Senior Director of Global Initiatives at the Institute on Race, Power, and Political Economy at The New School in New York City, and leads the transnational advocacy project, Global Black. 

Dr. Enyia also chairs the International Civil Society Working Group for the United Nations Permanent Forum on People of African Descent and the Global Economic Systems, Institutions, and Policy Working Group, a group of economists and global economists working on issues of monetary sovereignty, debt, and transformation of economic systems and frameworks. Dr. Enyia serves as the Chair of the Steering Committee for the Global Litigation and Advocacy Network for People of African Descent.  Dr. Enyia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She also holds a master’s degree in education, a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics, a law degree where she focused on international law, and a PhD in Education Policy with a methodological specialization in Evaluation.

Dr. Enyia serves on the Board of Directors for the Chicago Community Loan Fund amongst other organizations, and maintains fluency in Igbo, English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.

Oliver Fanon is the son of psychiatrist, author, and theorist Frantz Fanon and journalist and activist Josie Fanon. He lived in Algiers and later in France, where he studied political science and ethnopsychiatry. Today he works at the Algerian Embassy in France. With deep commitment, he carries on his father’s legacy and plays his part in preserving his memoryas a passionate advocate for the independence of peoples. He is the godfather of AFROLUTION 2026.

Savannah Hauskeller is a Congolese-German multi-instrumentalist who blends various musical genres with her unique voice and the sound of the cello. In 2026, she won the GESOBAU Jazz & Soul Award in Berlin and also took second place at the Sparda Jazz Award. At just 20 years old, she founded a Black gospel choir with more than 25 members in Leipzig to create empowerment through music. In addition to her music career, she is involved in social projects and gives workshops. She lives in Berlin.

Nani Jansen Reventlow is an international human rights lawyer. She is the founder of Systemic Justice, which advocates for marginalised communities across Europe through strategic litigation. Previously, she founded the Digital Freedom Fund. Politico named her one of society’s great visionary tech leaders in 2021 for her work on digital human rights. She has been honoured with awards from Harvard, Oxford and Columbia University, among others. Nani is the author of the book Radical Justice, a collection of nine essays on how to build a fundamentally different future with our own hands, published in Dutch in 2024 and in English in March 2026.

Oumi Janta is a roller skater, creative artist and founder of the Jam Skate Club, a skate school and community based in Berlin that she has been building up since 2018. What began as small, occasional roller skating classes is now a space where people of different ages and backgrounds come together to express themselves through movement and learn together.

In her work, she combines roller skating with choreography, music and community experience. It is important to her to acknowledge the cultural origins of rhythm skating, which emerged in Black communities in the USA, and to make this culture more visible in Germany too.

As a Black woman with roots in Senegal, she sees her work as a contribution to greater visibility and a sense of belonging in public spaces. At the heart of her work is the experience of movement as expression and connection: a moment in which people can come together, let go and feel free – somewhere between fun, challenge and personal expression.

In addition to running classes, she organises events such as roller discos and, through her agency, books roller skaters for campaigns, performances and artistic productions.

Currently, a particular focus of her work is on supporting children and young people: she is committed to making movement and alternative sports such as roller skating more accessible – especially for those who would otherwise have little access to them.

Oumi Janta ist Rollerskaterin, Creative und Gründerin des Jam Skate Club, einer in Berlin gegründeten Skate-Schule und Community, die sie seit 2018 aufgebaut hat. In ihrer Arbeit verbindet sie Rollerskating mit Choreografie, Musik und Community-Erfahrung. Dabei ist es ihr wichtig, die kulturellen Ursprünge des Rhythm Skating anzuerkennen, das in Schwarzen Communities in den USA entstanden ist, und diese Kultur auch in Deutschland sichtbarer zu machen.

Als Schwarze Frau mit Wurzeln im Senegal versteht sie ihre Arbeit als Beitrag zu mehr Sichtbarkeit und Zugehörigkeit im öffentlichen Raum. Im Zentrum steht für sie die Erfahrung von Bewegung als Ausdruck und Verbindung: ein Moment, in dem Menschen zusammenkommen, loslassen und sich frei fühlen können – zwischen Spaß, Herausforderung und persönlichem Ausdruck.

Neben Kursen organisiert sie Events wie Rollerdiscos und vermittelt mit ihrer Agentur Rollschuh-Performer*innen für Kampagnen, Performances und künstlerische Produktionen.

Aktuell liegt ein besonderer Fokus ihrer Arbeit auf der Förderung von Kindern und Jugendlichen: Sie setzt sich dafür ein, Bewegung und alternative Sportarten wie Rollerskating zugänglicher zu machen – insbesondere für diejenigen, die sonst wenig Zugang dazu haben.

Marion Kraft, born in Gelsenkirchen in 1946, is an Afro-German literary scholar, author, lecturer and translator. Her publications focus on racism, literature by Black women writers, feminism and the Black movement in Germany. After studying to become a teacher, she obtained a PhD in literary studies and worked for over three decades as a teacher and lecturer in Germany and the USA. Kraft has published four books on African-American literature, Afro-German history and literature, feminism and anti-racism, including a work in 2018 on her encounters with Audre Lorde. As a translator, she has worked on works by Buchi Emecheta, Amanda Gorman, Audre Lorde, bell hooks and Toni Morrison, amongst others. She is a sought-after expert and interviewee in the German media. Weltenwechsel is her first novel.

Priscilla Layne is Professor of German at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Director of European Studies and an adjunct Associate Professor for African, African American and Diaspora Studies. Layne is also the Director of the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence, the Jean Monnet Module, the TransAtlantic Masters Program, Chair of the European Studies major, and the Principal Investigator for the Title VI National Resource Center and FLAS. Layne has published two monographs: White Rebels in Black: German Appropriation of Black Popular Culture (2018) and Out of this World: Afro-German Afrofuturism (2025), as well as a critical guide to Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s film The Marriage of Maria Braun (2025). She has also published essays on Turkish German culture, translation, punk and film. She has translated several books from German into English, including Olivia Wenzel's novel 1000 Coils of Fear (2022), Sam Meffire’s autobiography Sam: The German, the Officer, the Man (2023) and Birgit Weyhe’s graphic novel Rude Girl (2024). She is currently working on two manuscripts. One is entitled Drawing on Experience: European Graphic Medicine and the other is Decolonizing the Nazi Germany Narrative.

Olivier Marboeuf is an author and storyteller, artist, independent curator, cultural theorist, and film producer, originally from Guadeloupe, a French island in the Caribbean. In the early 1990s, he founded the publishing house Amok (later renamed Frémok) with author Yvan Alagbé, and subsequently served as artistic director of Espace Khiasma (2004–2018), an art center based in the Paris outskirts dedicated to minority representations. He currently divides his time between writing, drawing, and activities related to collaborative art practices. He is notably a founding member of the Independent Network of Art Workers and Actors (RITAA) in Guadeloupe and editorial director of the Caribbean publishing house Atlantiques Déchaînés.

Lina Mitschke is a German-Togolese art historian and expert in political communication. After working at the Umbrella Association of Migrant Organizations in Eastern Germany (DaMOst e.V.), she now helps shape the strategic direction of the association as co-managing director of Each One Teach One (EOTO e.V.), and co- leads the »Anti-Racism Network« project there. aja monet is a Surrealist Blues Poet in the business of goosebumps and heart-gut-telling truths. Her poems are harmolodic, vulnerable, and insurgent. As the youngest recipient of the Nuyorican Grand Slam Poetry title, she first cut her teeth in New York City’s Lower East Side poetry clubs and bars, honing her voice and craft on the storied stages of a burgeoning grassroots poetry movement. She follows in the long legacy and tradition of poets organizing in social movements for change. Her collaborative spirit has seen her shape and shift culture alongside internationally renowned artists, scholars, activists, and organizers.

aja’s first full collection of poems, my mother was a freedom fighter (2017), is a powerful tribute to women who embody freedom, earning a nomination for a NAACP Image Award for Poetry. Her debut poetry album, when the poems do what they do , was nominated for a Grammy Best Spoken Word Poetry Album in 2024. The album explores themes of resistance, love, and the inexhaustible quest for joy. As a poet and touring bandleader, she has performed at festivals, concert halls, and theaters across the globe including but not limited to, the Guggenheim, Lincoln Center, Newport Jazz Festival, Montreal Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival and the Fremantle Biennale to name a few. As the 2025 Artist in Residence at the EFG London Jazz Festival, she was invited to give a headline performance at the Barbican Centre.

aja monet’s awards include the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Award for Poetry (2019), the Nelson Mandela Changemaker Award (2024), The Harry Belafonte Voices for Social Justice Award (2024), the EBONY 100 Artist In Residence Award, and the Malcolm X & Dr. Betty Shabazz Vanguard Award (2025). She also serves as the Artistic Creative Director for V-Day, a global movement to end violence against women and girls. In 2022, she created "VOICES," an audio play amplifying the stories of Black women across the diaspora and the African continent.

aja monet’s most recent book of poems inspired by several years living and organizing in South Florida is called, florida water on Haymarket Books. Her sophomore studio album the color of rain, is set to be released in May 2026 with drink sum wtr.

New Album: the color of rain

At the crux of rising fascism, aja monet offers a waking-dream intervention, amid the sinister reality of contemporary events. A prompt to look up at the sky within, the color of rain, co-produced by monet, Justin Brown and Meshell Ndegeocello, is an imbrication of familiar genres forged beyond category or definition. As one strides through the sequence of poems, each song shifts between musical perceptions of jazz, soul, hip hop, rhythm and blues. Surrealism at its finest, a marvelous unleashing of the mind. the color of rain  reminds us that poetry predates the very blueprints of genre. Rather than delivering poetry over fixed arrangements, aja works in close conversation with the music, adjusting phrasing, cadence, and tone as the compositions shift.

the color of rain is an evolution from the intimate, live-café energy of aja monet’s GRAMMY-nominated debut album, when the poems do what they do. While she nods at the Black Arts Movement’s legacy and lineage, this sophomore album is a conjure the experiment and explore the interior. If the first album was a gentle altar call, then the second is an impassioned call to bare arms, a definitive guide to choose your weapon, wisely. Prince Ofori was born in Ghana in 1988 and is the founder of the artist collective M.I.K. Family. He has been dancing since 2004 and specializes in krumping and hip-hop freestyle. He is considered a pioneer of krumping in Europe. He has been working as a dance teacher and dance coach since 2005. Prince is known in the battle scene as a successful freestyle dancer. He has been involved in various music video and television productions and was one of the first to bring krumping to the German theater stage. Since then, he has performed in various theater productions throughout Europe. He stands out not only for his successful participation in international dance events and battles, but also for organizing them. Music is many things to him, but above all a remedy. Since 2017, he has also enriched festivals, parties, battles and various events as a DJ. In summer 2022 he was the opening act for Seeed on tour. Since 2023 he has been Creative Director of the Peter Fox Live Tour. He is artistic director, curator and organizer of the CDC Festival. As chairman of MINCE e.V., he works as artistic director for dance theater projects and projects in the field of cultural education in Berlin. He is currently a youth social worker at EOTO e.V.

Er wirkte an verschiedenen Musikvideo- und Fernsehproduktionen mit und war einer der ersten, die Krump auf die deutschen Theaterbühnen brachte. Seitdem performte er europaweit in verschiedenen Theaterproduktionen. Er zeichnet sich nicht nur durch die erfolgreiche Teilnahme an internationalen Tanzevents- und battles aus, sondern auch durch die Organisation von diesen. Musik ist für ihn Vieles, vor Allem aber ein Heilmittel. Seit 2017 bereichert er auch als DJ Festivals, Partys, Battles und diverse Events. Im Sommer 2022 war er als Opening Act für Seeed auf Tour. Seit 2023 ist er Creative Director der Peter Fox Live Tour. Er ist künstlerischer Leiter, Kurator und Veranstalter des CDC Festivals. Als Vereinsvorsitzender von MINCE e.V. ist er als künstlerischer Leiter für Tanztheaterprojekte und Projekte im Bereich der kulturellen Bildung in Berlin tätig. Nadja Ofuatey-Alazard ist Kuratorin und Kulturmanagerin. Seit 2017 arbeitet sie als Co-Geschäftsführerin und künstlerische Leitung bei EOTO e.V. in Berlin. Nadja Ofuatey-Alazard is a curator and cultural manager. Since 2017, she has been working as co-director and artistic director at EOTO e.V. in Berlin. Dr. Mordecai Ogada is a Kenyan carnivore ecologist and conservation policy scholar with over. His current work focuses on the challenges of human rights in the global conservation arena. He also researches and writes extensively on the ethical challenges of the global climate movement, including the protection of the ownership rights of indigenous people in the Global South over their natural heritage. He is the co-author of The Big Conservation Lie (2016) with John Mbaria and author of Green and Evil (2025). Dr. Ogada is also a keen student of African socio-political history.

Ben Okri is the Nigerian-born poet, cultural activist, and author of thirteen novels, including the Booker Prize-winning The Famished Road, the first in a trilogy, and Astonishing the Gods, which was selected as one of the BBC’s ‘100 novels that shaped our world’, as well as collections of poetry, short stories, plays and essays. His work has been translated into more than 28 languages. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and has won numerous international prizes and been awarded many honorary doctorates. His poem following the Grenfell Tower tragedy was widely viewed on television and on social media. He was a Fellow Commoner in Creative Arts at Trinity College, Cambridge. He was awarded an OBE in 2001 and a Knighthood in 2023.

Jenaba Samura (she/her) is a freelance writer, podcast host, and presenter, frequently working at the intersection of theater and politics. Jenaba’s primary areas of focus are colonial constructions of poverty and sexuality, as well as the effects of racism on mental health. As a doctoral candidate in cultural studies, she is currently researching the literary cartography of a Black Europe. Previously, she studied gender and postcolonial studies in Göttingen and London.

Swami Dhyanananda Saraswati is a monastic in the traditions of Advaita Vedānta and Yoga, integrating systemic analysis, traditional knowledge and therapeutic insight. For over three decades, they have been recognized for their leading contributions to Black German civil rights, empowerment, music, and media. Their books and seminars have significantly influenced understanding and public discussion of structural racism in German-speaking countries. In 2019, they entered formal monastic training and service in India, and now offer intersectionally informed guidance in nonsectarian spirituality, classes for Vedic Chanting and Sanskrit, and therapeutic Yoga.

Swami Dhyānānanda Saraswati ist ein Mönch in der Tradition des Advaita Vedānta und Yoga. Alison Umeh is an artist and a student at the HFBK – Hamburg University of Fine Arts. In her practice, she combines artistic research and speculative narration within installation, video, sculpture, and archival material. Drawing on fairy tales, myths, and fragmented narratives of the Afro-diaspora, she explores landscapes, data sets, and forms of collective memory as sites where history and fabulation overlap, and how memory and history can be articulated beyond linear narrative forms.

Alison Umeh ist Künstlerin und studiert an der HFBK – Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg. (V)L$D ist ein multidisziplinäres Kollektiv aus Paris, das von den Upcycling-Designern und Kreativen Eugen Antwi i(Soulja) und Nizam Nourou (Veace) mit Pariser Dolos gegründet wurde. Das Netzwerk entwickelte sich aus dem gemeinsamen Anspruch, Veränderung zu schaffen – nicht nur durch kreatives Handeln, sondern auch durch die Art, wie Menschen sich selbst und ihre Umwelt wahrnehmen. In ihrer Arbeit verbinden Eugen und Nizam nachhaltiges Design, kulturelle Einflüsse und kreative Ausdrucksformen mit einer Vision von gesellschaftlichem Wandel und kollektivem Empowerment.

V)L$D has its roots in the union of two collectives: VILAINS MOB from Paris and LIVE $HINE DIE from Saarbrücken Germany. Both collectives were born out of a shared motivation and also frustration: to create a network that could help people change, not just in their actions but in how they see themselves and others. At their core, they believed in the power of helping individuals value themselves and appreciate those around them. By fostering this sense of self-worth and mutual respect, their vision grew into a larger goal: to unlock true potential, both individually and collectively, and to build a network where creativity serves as a bridge for transformation and connection. Together, these two collectives became (V)L$D, a movement that sees creativity not just as a tool, but as a way of life.

In addition to the collective goals, each member contributes their individual aspirations, spanning fields such as music, fashion, consulting, photography, acting, modeling, architecture, DJing.

Rinaldo Walcott is a writer, critic and former professor. He is the author of several books and numerous essays on a wide range of Black cultural expression. His most recent books are: The Long Emancipation: Moving Toward Freedom (Duke, 2021) and On Property: Policing, Prisons, and the Call for Abolition (Biblioasis, 2021). He was recently Professor and Chair of the Department of Africana and American Studies at the University at Buffalo (SUNY), where he held the Carl V. Granger Chair in Africana and American Studies (2023-2026). Rinaldo’s scholarly work has especially focussed on the cultural expression of Black Canada and Caribbean intellectual traditions.

Salah Yousif was born in Khartoum, Sudan, in the mid-20th century and moved to Berlin in 1972, where he opened his »Poet’s Shop« in Kreuzberg in 1988, selling antiques, records, and African design. As a poet, he sees himself as a bridge-builder between cultures. He consistently expresses this unique perspective in his bilingual poetry: he publishes each of his poems in both Arabic and German to celebrate the connection between his heritage and his adopted home of Berlin. Salah is the griot of AFROLUTION 2026.

Salah Yousif wurde Mitte des 20. Als Dichter versteht er sich als Brückenbauer zwischen den Kulturen. Diese einzigartige Perspektive bringt er konsequent in seiner zweisprachigen Lyrik zum Ausdruck: Er veröffentlicht jedes seiner Gedichte sowohl auf Arabisch als auch auf Deutsch, um die Verbindung zwischen seinem kulturellen Erbe und seiner Wahlheimat Berlin zu feiern. Salah ist der Griot von AFROLUTION 2026.

Abdenour Zahzah is an Algerian director. After studying at the University of Algiers, he worked at the Blida Cinémathèque. He completed his first film, Frantz Fanon, Mémoire d’Asile in 2002. After that, he lived in France, where he made documentaries. Returning to Algeria in 2007, he made his short fiction film Garagouz, a multi-award-winning film, after a feature-length documentary, L’Oued, L’Oued, which won critical acclaim at festivals. Dr. Frantz Fanon (Berlinale 2024) is his first feature fiction, about the Blida-Joinville years.
