Liebe Black Teens, seit ihr zwischen 10 und 14 Jahre alt? Habt ihr Lust euch mit anderen Schwarzen, afrikanischen und afrodiasporischen Teens zu connecten, auszutauschen und zu chillen? Habt ihr Lust auf leckeres Essen, gute Musik und gemeinsame Ausflüge?  

Sei dabei bei B2B; ein safer Space für die Schwarze, Afrikanische und Afro-diasporische queere*, trans* und gender questioning Community zwischen 16 und 27 Jahren, in dem wir die Ballroom-Szene näher kennenlernen wollen. In Kooperation mit der Kiki Lounge Berlin werden wir zwei mal im Monat zusammenkommen und Open Sessions anbieten. 

Für die Teilnahme sind keine Vorkenntnisse notwendig.  Für Snacks und Getränke ist gesorgt. Kommt einfach vorbei, ihr braucht keine Anmeldung. 

Die Ballroom-Szene entstand vor mehr als 50 Jahren aus der Schwarzen und latein-amerikanischen queeren Community, die sich somit sichere Räume vor Diskriminierung erkämpften und mit den Balls eine Kultur des Empowerments kreierten. Mit B2B wollen wir Ballroom verstärkt mit seinen Schwarzen Ursprüngen verbinden und unserer Community mehr Raum für Selbst- und Community-Liebe bieten. Lerne coole Leute aus der Community kennen, lass dich inspirieren und sei einfach du selbst! Be to be! 

OFFENE TONSTUDIO session Wir laden euch ein zu unseren offenen Tonstudio sessions.
Lernt Musikproduktion und Audiotechnik kennen, nehmt Gesang oder Instrumente auf und genießt in künstlerischer Atmosphäre unter Schwarzen jungen Menschen die Vibes und die Musik.
Ihr braucht keine Vorkenntnisse für die Teilnahme.

Wir werfen einen neuen Blick auf die neuere deutsche Geschichte und untersuchen die Perspektive und den  Einfluss von Menschen afrikanischer Herkunft auf zwei der bedeutendsten Geschehnisse der neueren deutschen Geschichte, die sog. 68-Bewegung und die deutsche Einheit 1989/90. Die Teilnehmenden lernen die Geopolitik der 1960er bis 90er Jahre aus einer afrikanisch-diasporischen Perspektive zu verstehen. Von der deutschen „Kulturrevolution“ und lokalen Interventionen über die Black Panthers und dem Vietnamkrieg bis hin zum Protest gegen die rechtsradikalen Übergriffe der 1990er; Schwarze Aktivist*innen haben die Weltgeschichte in den deutschen Staaten des 20. Jahrhunderts aktiv beeinflusst.

Wir sichten bisher unbekanntes Archivmaterial und diskutieren, wie sich dieses Wissen in moderne Kulturvermittlungsformate umwandeln lässt.

Die Teilnehmenden erkennen den Einfluss Schwarzer Aktivisten- gruppen in Deutschland auf die geopolitischen Ereignisse der 1960er bis 1990er Jahre und lernen, diese zu bewerten und zu differenzieren und zu guter letzt in eigene Kulturveranstaltungen umzuwandeln.

Der Workshop richtet sich an Kuratorinnen, Journalistinnen, Theatermacher*innen und Kulturschaffende, die mit geschichtlichen/erinnerungskulturellen Themen arbeiten.

Philipp Khabo Koepsell leitet die EOTO Bibliothek und das Archiv und arbeitet im Team der EOTO Öffentlichkeitsarbeit.

Wisdom of the Ancestors: A journey through Black and African folklore is a storytelling session which will dive into the magical world of myths and legends from diverse Black and African communities, and discover tales of wisdom, bravery, and resilience that have been passed down through generations. Not only will we retell the timeless Black and African folklore stories but also invite participants to craft new ones, inspired by traditional themes and characters. This event promises to be a delightful experience filled with cultural insights and creative expression.
