This February yoga series is created especially for LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent members of the global Black Diaspora. Allies are welcome.
Teacher: Swami Dhyānānanda Saraswati, monastic of Yoga and Vedānta, with an extensive background in social justice work.
In this series will be the following classes:
Regulation and Relaxation Yoga every Sunday in February
Meditation class every Sunday in February
Satsang Q&A about your yoga and meditation practice, Saturdays February 7 and 21
In the Regulation and Relaxation Yoga class, you will learn and practice gentle but effective techniques for self-regulation. It is suitable for people who don't like or trust Yoga in the West, for all ages, religious (non-)beliefs and levels of 'fitness'. There will be no gymnastics. Classes are CPTSD-informed and aimed at helping relieve some of its effects.
The sessions are a way to practice self care and self-solidarity and an opportunity to experience Yoga without the baggage of appropriation and misunderstanding.
