A transformative and process-oriented practice. Par- ticipants are guided into a state of flow in which bio- graphical writing expresses itself through them wit- hout being controlled by them. It is a collective practice of individual biographical release and liberation; in- trovert-friendly (what is written is not shared).

In our »Word-Worlds Workshop,« children become authors and illustrators of a collaborative book. Inspired by African proverbs and poems, participants design their own book pages with Diana Ejaita and learn about the entire book-making process—from the cover to the layout. Using a striking palette of black, red, blue, green, and white, they experiment with collage, markers, and typography. The goal is a collaborative »zine« that brings together the creative contributions and portraits of all the children in a high-quality print.

What happens when we don’t just read poetry, but experience it with all our senses? As part of Salon Solène, the writing workshop »Poetry with All the Senses« creates a space for creative writing, listening, exchange, and sensory perception. Together, we’ll explore how poetry can sound, look, feel, smell, and taste — amidst conversations and encounters around a shared table.

What is celebrated as a trend today has its roots deep in the U.S. »Soul Nights,« where Black communities during segregation transformed roller rinks into spaces of freedom and creative excellence. From this subversive act of claiming space, unique styles emerged world-wide—from Los Angeles to London to Lagos—celebrating community and identity on wheels. In this spirit, Oumi Janta, founder of Berlin’s Jam Skate Club, invites you to a workshop that combines technical skill with cultural-political depth. Experience the lightness of dance, the reclaiming of public space, and the empowerment that arises when we move to our own rhythm. Join the movement—Let’s roll!
